An oft used phrase to describe the joy and sense of communication inherent in creating a work of art through words.
I have also described poetry as "life concentrate" – a distillation of an entire work into as few words as the poet can make use of to convey the image of their heart or mind to you
Life by the spoonful, as we can swallow it..whether beauty or horror, pain or joy, a poem passes us by and leaves us yearning for another whiff of its scent….
